ST PIERRE HOOF CARE
In an effort to increase safety, efficiency and reduce stress, we at ST PIERRE HOOF CARE have developed a strong but lightweight catch chute for hoof trimmers.
A serious accident while loading cows into our trim chute led us to search for a better way. The end result is a unique chute design that is light weight but strong. The hoof trimmer can now keep trimming while a helper fills the chute.
It allows the helper to take plenty of time loading the chute. A trip mechanism keeps the cow from backing out after entering. The cows stay calmer and there is less waiting for cows to trim. Stress levels have been reduced, the work environment is much safer and our customers highly approve of the new method even though they are now committed to providing a helper to move their cattle into our catch chute.
We have been using the new catch chute since January of 2010. It has proven itself to be dependable and we cannot imagine going back to the old way of trimming.
The chute is now available
on a made to order basis.
